Skincare Routine

My Daily Evening Skincare Routine

As Promised…here is my entire evening skincare routine! Most everything linked are all products you can find in my morning skincare routine with the exception of an added cleanser, an additional face serum , and an evening night cream. When it comes to skincare it’s a bit of mix and match. Listen to your skin, adjust to what you need, but majority of the time this is the exact routine I do nightly with alternations noted! x

1. CLEANSER

I actually don’t cleanse my face in the mornings unless I’ve just done a sweaty workout. I like to wake up and keep the natural oil my face produces so will go straight into my morning routine. Evenings are obviously different. After the day’s build up +India's pollution I always cleanse my face with a moisturizing face cleanser. Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser.  It’s super super hydrating while effective at removing makeup. For evenings when I’m wearing heavier makeup, I’ll start my routine by wiping my entire face and make with a  simple skincare wipes, to have a fresher starting base. Then proceed with cleaner.

2. Eye Makeup Remover

My ultimate splurge evening item is Garnier Micelle Water Eye Makeup Remover. I have extremely sensitive eyes. They’re allergic to just about everything, including contact solution, so this is the one that I’ve found and used for over 6+ years that doesn’t burn. It isn’t at all oily and completely removes all eye make up on a cotton pad. Alternatively, Simple’s Eye Make up remover is almost just as good for a fraction of the cost. It feels like water, doesn’t burn, and does a great job at removing makeup.

3.  GLO PRO (OPTIONAL)

I LOVE this little secret skin weapon. If you’re unfamiliar, the Glo Pro is basically at at-home version of micro-needling. The roller has little tiny tiny pain-free spikes that gently, invisibly puncture your skin to allow products to penetrate on a deeper level and almost “trick” your skin into thinking it needs to heal itself. Producing more collagen and naturally plumping. I’ll use this 1-3 times weekly, again depending on my skins needs. Always after cleansing fully, before layering on any products.

4. MINI FACIAL FACE MASK (1-3x weekly)

1-3 times a week I’ll use  for about 5 minutes in the evening. It’s extremely effective at resurfacing the skin leaving a slight tingle. Alternatively I have and use  Nykaa Clay Cool Mask . It’s a little bit stronger but a great option for similar function as well.

 5. Vitamin C Serum (Regular OR Self Tanning)

If you suffer with pigmentation, melasma, dark spots, or uneven skin tone, be sure to add a Vitamin C serum to your regime. I alternate between Summer Friday’s CC Me Serum which I use in the mornings and skin illuminate Face serum for Radiant skin with vitamin C and tumeric . Both are super light and smell quite summery.

For the Self Tanning Serum you only need 2 small pumps. It goes on completely clear and is super gradual so you don’t have to worry about  face. I love this because I never tan my face in the summer and it adds just a little bit of pigment to your complexion for a natural glow.

6. EYE CREAM

You can get a little more generous with your evening eye cream, however I still use my same Cetaphil Hydrating  Eye Gel Cream   both morning and night. If you want something a bit thicker to really target premature fine lines, crows feet, or eye lines, I’d recommend Himalayan Eye cream. I absolutely love this product and when I run our of my gifted Cetaphil eye cream  I always buy this one for myself.

7. NIGHT CREAM

Again, the Mama Earth Vitamin C sleeping Mask with Aloe Vera for skin illumination that I use in my morning routine is that good there’s no reason you can’t use this in your evening routine. However if you’re looking for a specific Night Face Cream, I couldn’t recommend Goop’s Night Cream Enough. I’ve used it for over 7 months now and love the texture, love the smell. If you use it you’ll definitely notice it’s a bit thicker and heavier than a light whipped daytime cream — a common theme with most evening products. They’re just a bit heavier to really work into the layers of the skin through the span of the night.

8. LIP SCRUB

If you’re having issues with chapped lips or dry skin, I highly recommends Degya beetroot natural lip scrub. It’s super super hydrating and does an amazing job of nourishing lips and removing dry skin. This can be used mornings or evening, but I like this as a treatment before bed.
